La Rochère is today, the only manufacturer in France of glassblocks and glass roof tiles.
La Rochère Architecture, which created the world's first glass roof tile in 1870, imagines, designs, and manufactures glass products that evoke emotion, both standard and custom-made, for architects and building professionals.
La Rochère glassblocks comply with fire safety and guardrail regulations (as certified by EFECTIS test reports) and are covered by civil liability and ten-year structural warranties.

Living Heritage Company
La Rochère has held the EPV label since 2014. “Living Heritage Company” (EPV) is a state-recognized mark of excellence that distinguishes French companies for their outstanding industrial and artisanal expertise. Since its creation in 2005, the association of EPV-labeled companies has brought together businesses with a unique heritage, striving to reconcile innovation and tradition, expertise and creativity, work and passion, heritage and future, local and international.
Guaranteed French Origin
In Passavant-la-Rochère, over 90% of our production is 100% French. Over 90% of the raw materials we use are also sourced in France. The sand, which makes up 60% of our composition, comes from Fontainebleau. It therefore seemed right and necessary to us to protect our expertise and our products (recognized worldwide) with the only label that officially certifies the French origin of our products.
Limited Environmental Impact
La Rochère researches and implements all possible improvements to limit its environmental impact. For example, we recover heat from our furnace to heat our premises. We are committed to manufacturing 100% recyclable products in France (excluding ceramics, architectural glass panels, and bamboo). Thanks to the electricity generated by our furnaces, we have significantly reduced the carbon footprint of glass melting. 100% of our glass waste is recycled. Over 70% of other waste is sorted and sent to recycling facilities. Our teams are dedicated to a daily process of improving our energy efficiency.
